I hope there is none, because I bothered a great deal of people to make this happen, and no one will ever do me a favor again if I now cancel on them. :) BU's quite convenient for people going to Linux World; it's a pretty easy walk from the Hynes Convention Center, or a straight shot on the T (subway/streetcar). And there's parking either in a garage ($8, I think) or on the street (metered) if you need that. The building is the Photonics Center, number #19 on this map: and pictured here: (BU isn't famous for its architecture. Infamous, maybe.) Exactly which rooms we'll have I'm not sure yet. But we've got several good options. -- Matthew Miller mattdm at mattdm.org Boston University Linux ------> From sopwith at redhat.com Thu Jan 20 17:42:05 2005 From: sopwith at redhat.com (Elliot Lee) Date: Thu, 20 Jan 2005 12:42:05 -0500 (EST) Subject: [Fedora-merge] FUDCon moved to Boston University [Fwd: ECE is all good] In-Reply-To: <1106191783.3667.58.camel@deepfort> References: <1106191783.3667.58.camel@deepfort> Message-ID: On Wed, 19 Jan 2005, Jack Aboutboul wrote: > So it seems that MIT is having a problem coordinating rooms because the > lady in charge left for a conference and came back swamped with work. > Therefore, our good pal Matt Miller has arranged for us to have it at > Boston University in the Electrical and Computer Engineering Building. > Any opposition to this? The bigger classroom (which we have for sure) holds about 70. If it looks like more than that will show up, there's a *chance* we could get a bigger space (but it's basically just a huge empty room). The other spaces are 30-40 people, and I'm not yet sure exactly which ones we'll get. (Some are nicer than others, and closer together.) > Matt - thanks for making this location happen! Good news: It looks like we will have a dedicated snack/food room, and we have a *third* confrence room for the whole day. They will be on three different floors in the same building. PLEASE NOTE: We currently have no public wireless access as it is restricted to VPN. We are looking at an option for that. In the mean time, we have wall sockets and switches. -Jeff > -- > Colin Charles, byte at aeon.com.my > http://www.bytebot.net/ > "First they ignore you, then they laugh at you, then they fight you, > then you win." -- Mohandas Gandhi > > -- > Fedora-marketing-list mailing list > Fedora-marketing-list at redhat.com > http://www.redhat.com/mailman/listinfo/fedora-marketing-list >
