The Red Hat Enterprise Linux Extended Life Cycle, Premium subscription provides extended maintenance, offering up to a 14-year lifecycle for a major version of Red Hat Enterprise Linux.
- Extended maintenance: Beyond the standard 10-year support and maintenance lifecycle, this offering provides an additional 4 years of extended maintenance after the last minor release of a major version.
- Continued support: This subscription offers essential support for organizations that cannot migrate to a newer major release due to hardware compatibility issues, application dependencies, or other organizational constraints.
- Maintenance coverage: The extended maintenance includes certain critical-impact security fixes, selected urgent-priority bug fixes, and troubleshooting for the last minor release of a major version of Red Hat Enterprise Linux.

The Red Hat Enterprise Linux Extended Life Cycle, Premium subscription offers 6 years of extended maintenance for even-numbered minor versions.

Security and bug fixes in Red Hat Enterprise Linux
Customers with a Red Hat Enterprise Linux Extended Life Cycle, Premium subscription can receive security fixes for Critical, Important, and Moderate CVEs with a CVSS score of 7 or higher, as defined by Red Hat in a Red Hat Security Advisory. Red Hat can also provide urgent and selected high-priority bug fixes, as defined by Red Hat in a Red Hat Bug Advisory, for packages within Red Hat Enterprise Linux, as long as the package is not at end of life.
