The drive toward AI-enabled transformation is causing organizations to focus on upskilling, reskilling and reconnecting their IT teams. Recent data from IDC1 shows that 58% of CEOs are concerned about whether their organization’s skill sets can meet the demands of AI initiatives. This IDC report reinforces the need to invest in building an organization with the skills that will support productivity, efficiency and competitiveness.

Organizations across all industries and regions are facing a growing shortage of IT skills, whether in security, cloud, IT service management or AI. Fast-changing technologies are creating a strategic need for new skills, and innovative approaches are required to meet this demand effectively. Reskilling and upskilling are leading to emerging roles to specifically manage the opportunities and risks of new and emerging technologies.

Bank of Lithuania

Using Red Hat technologies helped developers at Lithuania’s central bank deliver updates and get new services to market between 5 and 10 times faster.

Red Hat Learning Subscription helped the Bank of Lithuania accelerate its implementation of Red Hat OpenShift on-premise environments and adoption of a microservices approach, in turn reducing friction for developers, expediting time to market, and attracting new talent.

Indonesia’s Directorate General (DG) of Treasury

The Indonesian treasury used Red Hat solutions to implement a microservices application platform, reducing application development time by 50%.

Red Hat Learning Subscription helped the DG of Treasury train its developer and operation teams on OpenShift, boosting their knowledge and confidence and supporting the organization’s migration to Red Hat JBoss EAP.

Telekom Slovenije

The leading Slovenian telecommunications provider increased the frequency of deployments from 3 to 4 per month to at least once per day using OpenShift.

Red Hat Learning Subscription helped Telekom Slovenije staff deepen its knowledge of building and deploying containerized software applications and microservice applications in order to administer OpenShift and establish a successful DevOps department.

Tanobel

Tanobel, an Indonesia drinking water manufacturing and distribution company, implemented Red Hat OpenShift Virtualization to support applications that don’t yet support containerization, along with certain database instances. OpenShift has enabled Tanobel to progress with container adoption, with 90% of workloads now running on OpenShift.

Red Hat Learning Subscription has allowed Tanobel’s developers and operations team to grow from having no knowledge of containers to becoming experts in OpenShift Virtualization. The teams attend three four-hour online sessions a month where they learned new ways of working and put that learning into practice with practical examples.

Multichoice

To modernize its back-end infrastructure, MultiChoice, Africa’s leading entertainment platform, partnered with LSD Open to implement OpenShift Virtualization and Red Hat Ansible Automation Platform while adopting DevOps practices. The company has also invested in upskilling developers and engineers through training and is actively working on Red Hat certifications. Kubernetes was completely new to Multichoce, so they leaned on Red Hat and LSD Open to help them adapt.

They used Red Hat Learning Subscriptions instead of face-to-face training because of the convenience and the flexibility it provided them with to work toward certifications at their own pace. Despite initial resistance to change, MultiChoice now has a future-ready platform that enables faster deployments and the development of more cloud-native applications with reduced hands-on management.
