Webinar 2: Migrating to AWS with an automation platform

As organizations migrate to a cloud strategy, they begin to face the challenges of managing and optimizing their cloud environment. They want to adapt operational approaches to their business requirements while supporting specialized teams for each major hyperscale provider or cloud technology they are consuming. To solve these challenges, they need a common operations framework implemented through automation.

Join Amazon Web Services (AWS) and Red Hat to learn about how Red Hat® Ansible® Automation Platform makes it easy to manage cloud infrastructure, streamlining and operationalizing activities across AWS and cloud-native services. With Ansible Automation Platform, you can coordinate and manage cloud environments in a simple and effective way, reducing complexity and operational costs.

We will also explore how Ansible can increase speed and reduce errors automating the migration of environments to AWS. The provisioning Ansible Automation Platform on AWS simplifies this process and allows the scaling of your environment with extension nodes. Getting started with preintegrated AWS cloud services and certified automation content is straightforward, and it counts towards your cloud committed spend agreements and makes procurement less difficult.

In this webinar, we’ll cover:

  • The benefits of cloud automation for AWS and the use cases unlocking that value
  • How Ansible brings speed and efficiency to safely migrate on-premise environments including Red Hat Enterprise Linux® to AWS
  • Ways to:
    • Use preintegrated AWS cloud services and certified automation content
    • Deploy Ansible Automation Platform on AWS from the AWS Marketplace and the benefits of the self-managed offering
    • Scale your Ansible Automation Platform environment with extension nodes to meet the demands of organizations of any size

Campbell Vertesi

Campbell Vertesi

Microsoft Partner CTO for Red Hat

Computers have always hated Campbell Vertesi. It started with his family's IBM XT which wouldn't let him play Lode Runner. Many hours later, Campbell had learned DOS memory management, and the computer had surrendered. Campbell has worked in open source for 20+ years, because you can only beat the computer into submission when you can see and understand the software. In that time he's taken every kind of role in the enterprise open source world, from engineering lead to project manager to strategic lead. He is presently Microsoft's CTO for the partnership with Red Hat, so all the engineering these two companies do together is on some level his fault. He is a published author, speaker, open source developer, and father.  Outside of tech, Campbell is co-founder and a performer with The Cast, the international opera band breaking the mold for classical music in Europe.
