Call for contributions: Sysadmin Appreciation Day
Sysadmin Appreciation Day is coming up at the end of July, and we're already making plans to celebrate. Here at Enable Sysadmin, we plan to run a series of articles to help promote the day and celebrate the thankless hours that keep everyone's infrastructure up and running.
Here's what we'd like to feature: Send us a brief proposal for an article that you'd like to write for the community. In fact, it doesn't even have to be for Sysadmin Appreciation Day. Do you have a command-line trick that you'd like to share? Perhaps you've been toying with a new open source technology and want to share your experience—yes, we want that, too.
Okay, so maybe you aren't ready for a full blog post, but you still want to share some thoughts. Send us a short paragraph about the following topics:
- Recommend a gift for sysadmins
- Recommend a book for sysadmins
- Share a tool for the sysadmin in a hurry
- Share some career advice for up-and-coming sysadmins
- Share a sysadmin horror story or the ultimate accomplishment
Feel free to share a separate paragraph for each recommendation and/or experience that sparks an idea. Send your thoughts or proposals to enable-sysadmin@redhat.com.
Due date for submissions: July 5
