Sean Knapp is the founder and CEO of Ascend.io, which unifies the core capabilities of data engineering—data ingestion, transformation, delivery, orchestration, and observability—into a single platform so that data teams deliver 10x faster. Prior to Ascend.io, Sean was a co-founder, CTO, and Chief Product Officer at Ooyala, a video management platform where Sean played key roles in raising $120M, scaling the company to 500 employees, and Ooyala’s $400m+ acquisition. Sean received his B.S. and M.S. degrees in Computer Science from Stanford University.
