In the 2014 major theatrical release of the horror / science fiction / fantasy movie, "I, Frankenstein" inspired by the famous Mary Shelley novel, a small team of visual special effects (VFX) specialist at Cutting Edge used open source technology tools like Linux and Gluster storage file sharing to digitally render over 100 cool visual effect fight sequences.
