Curriki boosts education software innovation with Red Hat residency

California-based Curriki provides tools that help people with no programming or coding experience to create interactive learning content.

Challenge

  • Explore new business opportunities in areas such as hybrid cloud.
  • Develop autonomy for the pre-sales, sales, and delivery processes.
  • Expand from the public sector into the private market.
  • Broaden Red Hat's geographic coverage in Brazil.

Path to innovation

Curriki participated in a six-week Red Hat Open Innovation Labs virtual residency on open processes and approaches. Its teams worked closely with Red Hat consultants to learn best practices for agile and DevOps approaches through interactive, collaborative sessions and exercises.

Business outcomes

  • Completed six months of work in just six weeks, including optimizing code, auto-scaling with Red Hat OpenShift, automating installation, and containerizing CurrikiStudio
  • Established in-house skills to support new business and government agency customers, including ongoing training through Red Hat Learning Subscription
  • Simplified setup and installation of CurrikiStudio across all major cloud platforms, to help education institutes start creating interactive lessons faster

“Red Hat Open Innovation Labs offered a safe space in which the Curriki team could explore new ideas and best practices to bring their imagined solutions to life.”
