This demo was inspired by a real use case of one of our customers who wanted to deliver Firewall as a Service to their customers. It showcases how you can fully automate your network security, from the infrastructure to network security provisioning, using the Red Hat Ansible Automation Platform (AAP). using the Red Hat Ansible Automation Platform (AAP). The demo starts by deploying multiple Fortinet virtual appliances on a cloud infrastructure: FortiGate, the firewall; FortiAnalyzer, the log analyzer; and FortiManager, the centralized Fortinet manager. After the initial deployment, each node is completely configured, namely setting network parameters, adding policy rules, interconnecting the Fortinet nodes to each other’s, and gathering facts about current configurations and status.
