Red Hat OpenShift Pipelines

Jump to section

What is Red Hat OpenShift Pipelines?

Red Hat® OpenShift® Pipelines assists developers by allowing them to create advanced continuous integration (CI) workflows for their applications, thereby automating and speeding up the delivery of applications. It builds on the open source Tekton framework to provide a continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) experience through tight integration with OpenShift and Red Hat developer tools.

OpenShift Pipelines is designed to run each step of the CI/CD pipeline in its own container, allowing each step to scale independently to meet the demands of the pipeline.

It allows admins and developers to create pipeline blueprints for applications that are based on your organization’s unique business and security requirements.

Why choose Red Hat?

Red Hat® OpenShift® allows organizations to employ CI/CD to automate the build, test, and deployment stages of applications across the hybrid cloud, including on-premises, public cloud, and the edge.

OpenShift Pipelines is available with an OpenShift subscription and:

  • Natively integrates with the OpenShift console allowing developers to configure and execute pipelines directly alongside their applications
  • Applies DevSecOps practices by incorporating security and CI to identify and fix vulnerabilities early in the development process, reducing the risk of bugs and vulnerabilities in production environments
  • Automates application delivery and reduces time to market
  • Scales your pipelines and applications consistently across the hybrid cloud
