Red Hat® OpenShift® Virtualization (formerly container-native virtualization) is a feature of Red Hat OpenShift that allows you to run and manage virtual machine (VM) and container workloads side by side. Although development is moving to containers or even serverless, the need to run virtualized workloads close to containerized workloads using the same tools and methods remains.

OpenShift Virtualization is based on KubeVirt, an open source project that makes it possible to run VMs on a Kubernetes-managed container platform. KubeVirt delivers container-native virtualization by using a Kernel-based Virtual Machine (KVM) within a Kubernetes container.

In this webinar, we’ll cover:

  • An overview of OpenShift Virtualization
  • The OpenShift Virtualization operator
  • The virtualization catalog
  • Creating a virtual machine
  • Examining Red Hat OpenShift pods for virtual machines
  • Connecting to a virtual machine
  • Managing images and templates

Live event date: Thursday, October 19, 2023 | 12 p.m. ET

On-demand event: Available for one year afterward.
