No doubt, over the past several months, your brain has been inundated with two letters: A + I. And it’s for good reason. And while I won’t restate the cliches or common wisdom, I will recommend 5 sessions at Red Hat Summit that will help you make sense of open source AI, learn more, and even play a game!
Here are my 5 recommended OpenShift AI sessions at Red Hat Summit in Denver, May 6-9, 2024.
Tuesday, May 7
10:30 AM - 11:15 AM MDT
If you’re interested in hearing what we have on the roadmap for OpenShift, AI, this is a must-attend. The session is titled: Red Hat OpenShift AI: Our vision, capabilities, and the roadmap ahead.
You know what to expect from this session. But in addition to the product roadmap, you’ll also see how IBM watsonx.ai and Red Hat Ansible Lightspeed with IBM Watsonx Code Assistant uses OpenShift AI.
Tuesday, May 7
2:35 PM - 2:55 PM MDT
My second recommendation is all about GPUs. You know they’re a critical component of AI, but are you using them effectively? Optimize GPU utilization in Red Hat OpenShift AI
This Lightning Talk will provide you an opportunity to learn how to access and optimize NVIDIA GPU workloads for both cloud services and owned, on-site, GPUs.
Wednesday, May 8
7:00 AM - 8:00 AM MDT
If software is still eating the world, AI already ate the world’s breakfast. But we can still have breakfast in Denver and talk about OpenShift AI and our strategy for AI. We’ll have customers share how they’re reaching for the stars with Red Hat as a partner in AI.
Titled, AI Breakfast: Empower your Enterprise - AI for Innovation & Efficiency, this session will provide food + expertise. But that also means this will be a hot session. Space is limited and access will be granted on a first-come, first served basis. Hear from an all-star lineup over breakfast at Red Hat Summit.
Wednesday, May 8
12:30 PM - 2:00 PM MDT
Thursday, May 9
8:00 AM - 9:30 AM MDT
This interactive lab is so good we’re offering it twice at Red Hat Summit. This is a hands-on journey covering the deployment of a model and subsequent application deployment for an interactive game named RoShambo.
Ever wonder how data scientists can efficiently test and experiment with their models? We’ll go through the process that includes automating model construction through Red Hat OpenShift data science pipelines and deploying models via model server. Also, you’ll get insights into using Red Hat OpenShift GitOps for streamlined deployment of models and applications, employing GitOps methodology.
Don’t miss: Rock, scissors, paper: An AI-powered interactive game with OpenShift AI and OpenShift GitOps
Thursday, May 9
10:30 AM - 11:15 AM MDT
My fifth and final OpenShift AI session recommendation is called The role of open source in the age of AI. Open Source has always been the core of Red Hat, and open source is the most powerful way to develop AI. If you’re attending Red Hat Summit, you already know the power of open source. And we want to ensure you have the information and help explain some of the powerful dynamics at play today.
For example, the balance between intellectual property (IP) considerations and AI ecosystems. Also, the societal impact of AI and how open source will help AI reach its full potential.
Make sure you’re aware and well-versed in how open source is powering the AI revolution.
Here is the session catalog for more Summit sessions.
See you in Denver!
