Red Hat launches Red Hat Academy Day events

Red Hat held a series of Red Hat Academy Day events at 30 Red Hat Academies in India. This effort was the first Red Hat Academy road-tour to be conducted globally. During these events Red Hat Academy representatives conducted a celebration for 30 Red Hat Academies and over 5,560 students who have participated in the Red Hat Academy program.

This road tour event traveled across India to celebrate the impressive achievements that our students in India have accomplished. The event was organized with a partnership between Red Hat, its learning services partners and the academies.

“The Red Hat Academy (RHA) program has been hugely popular in India, we are now partnering with nearly 300 schools across India with thousands of students learning and getting certified on Red Hat technologies. The RHA program is going a long way in narrowing the open source technology skills gap by equipping students with Red Hat Training and making them enterprise-ready. It's been exciting to see the engagement and participation both from our schools and partners which has allowed us to be successful.”

Each event was a half-day event involving informative presentations, student led education games and contests, and a certificate ceremony with students sharing their experience about the Red Hat Academy courses followed by a concluding session with prizes given to all the deserving student winners.

“We created an exclusive Red Hat Academy day kit and shared it with all RHAs involved in these events. There were welcome and keynote sessions, certificate distribution ceremony, debates, quizzes and most of these sessions ran in an open source way. Meaning it was totally managed and delivered by the college's and its student's. These events not only increased the students interest in open source technology knowledge but also generated a lot of confidence in their abilities.”
