Red Hat rang in the New Year and we’re hitting the ground running in 2009. From virtual tradeshows and partner events to Red Hat Summit and JBoss World 2009, we’re excited about what this year has in store for Red Hat on the events front. Below is a glimpse into where Red Hat will be this January as well as a few “save the dates” for early spring.

North America
The Fedora Project will host its Fedora User and Developer Conference (FUDCon) January 9-11 in Boston. The three-day conference will bring together members of the community and serve as a kick off for the development of Fedora 11. The agenda includes hackfests the first two days, and a BarCamp on the third day.

Swing by the Red Hat booth at Lotusphere 2009 in Orlando on January 18-22. We’ll be at booth #403, where we’ll be demoing Lotus Domino & Lotus OCCS on Red Hat Enterprise Linux server and desktop solutions.

Save the date for the first ever JBoss Virtual Experience on February 11. Red Hat and JBoss are bringing this conference to your desktop with a live, one-day event focused on middleware. Attend comprehensive sessions and chat live with open source leaders, executives, key developers, customers and strategic partners. Learn how you can meet new demands, drive innovation and build mission critical applications and services, all while lowering costs. You can customize your virtual conference experience by attending any of the three tracks: business, technical and government. View the agenda here.

It continues to be run by community volunteers for community members who have made Linux and free and open source software the phenomenon it is today.

At the Identity Management and Information Security Forum on February 26-27 in Sydney, Australia, Red Hat will be presenting as well as exhibiting. The conference will provide delegates with the most updated information on how to deal with the challenges caused by identity related fraud and how to implement comprehensive identity management systems to reduce risks and costs.
